The date of foundation of the Benedictine abbey on Łysa Góra is unknown. The Benedictine tradition attributes the foundation to Bolesław the Brave in 1006. It is certain that the monastery and Romanesque church were founded between 1102-1138 by Bolesław Krzywousty. The buildings belonging to the monastery complex of the Benedictine Abbey have been inscribed on the list of monuments of the National Heritage Institute. These include: - the Benedictine monastery complex, - the church. Of the Holy Trinity from the beginning of the 19th, - monastery from the 15th, 17th, 20th, - belfry, built in the 18th, - eastern gate from the first half of the 17th, - pagan stone embankments. The church is a late Baroque temple built in 1781-1789 according to the design of Józef Karsznicki in the place of two earlier churches. The interior of the church is classicistic. The monastery cloister probably dates from the 15th century in the Gothic style, decorated with Jagiellonian eagles and the Lithuanian Pogoń and the Dębno coat of arms on the keystones. The southern arm runs a fragment of the Romanesque wall from the 12th century, which is a remnant of the former church. The monastery gate was built in 1643 in the Baroque style.
