Being in the capital of the Świętokrzyskie Province, hardly anyone knows that there is a Geopark Kielce, which brings together the Geoeducation Center, the Kadzielnia Amphitheater with caves, a botanical garden and reserves. There is no information about it in tourist guides or, unfortunately, there is a short mention. The Geoeducation Center has the opportunity to visit the Earth Gallery together with the 5D Simulator Capsule, which creates an unforgettable experience among young tourists. We know the Kadzielnia amphitheater more from the media side, here are organized concerts and artistic performances, and few people know that it is located in a geological reserve, where there is an underground tourist route running through the Cave of Explorers, Prochownia and Fissure at Kadzielnia with a length of 140 m 10 m level, developed on three levels. From the center of Kielce you can reach on foot 3 reserves located in the city (Wietrznia, Skalny and Kadzielnia reserves). On the other hand, the location of the botanical garden, which is located on the eastern slope of the Karczówka hill with a decline towards the east and south, makes the place's natural and landscape values more attractive. From the higher parts of the garden there is a view of the city and the nearby ranges of the Świętokrzyskie Mountains, with the Dymiński Range in the foreground. Such hidden attractions will be found by tourists who choose to "the capital of penknives". Kielce is known not only as the capital of the Świętokrzyskie Province, but also as a great base in the Świętokrzyskie Mountains. This city is not only an important economic and administrative center, but also a cultural and scientific one. The beginnings were quite modest, and Kielce was developing initially as a commercial settlement located on the edge of the Świętokrzyska Forest. An important role here was played by bishops, who are associated with the history of the city until the time of the Four-Year Sejm. As a scientific center, Kielce began their careers after Stanisław Staszic founded the Mining School in this city. The development of industry meant that Kielce itself developed. Particularly successful period for the city was the interwar period and the post-war years, as well as the related industrial development. Despite the economic changes that changed the face of Kielce, many interesting monuments have survived in the city. One of the most important is the palace of the Krakow bishops, which was built in the first half of the 17th century. From the nineteenth century, this facility served various functions, including its interior was handed over to the Academy founded by Staszic. Today, the palace chambers house one of the branches of the National Museum. You can see historic palace interiors and the Gallery of Polish Painting. One of the museum halls is associated with the figure of Józef Piłsudski. Kielce also boasts an interesting cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which represents the style typical of the early Baroque. In the main nave, a special lodge has been preserved to this day, formerly serving bishops. Also interesting is the polychrome decorating the interior of the church, whose author was Jan Matejko's nephew. Kielce is also associated with the figure of Stefan Żeromski, who attended junior high school here. The former school where the future writer took his education now houses the Stefan Żeromski Museum of School Years. Another interesting object in the city is Zieliński's palace. The nearest vicinity of Kielce is also attractive. It is worth going to the hill called Kadzielnia, where an inanimate nature reserve was created. One of the most beautiful objects in this reserve is the Geologists' Rock and excavations of the former quarry.
